Chulalongkorn University Right Livelihood Summer School, 7-18 July 2014

In developing further the goal to advocate for an alternative development paradigm and right livelihood, the School for Wellbeing Studies and Research will co-create an annual summer school event, Chulalongkorn University Right Livelihood Summer School as an interdisciplinary program in collaboration with Chula Global Network at Chulalongkorn University, Bangkok (Thailand); and the Right Livelihood College with campuses in Penang (Malaysia); Bonn (Germany); Lund (Sweden); Addis Ababa (Ethiopia); Port Harcourt (Nigeria) Valdivia, (Chile); Santa Cruz, California (USA). The intent behind the programme is to promote the concept of right livelihood by living lightly on the earth; and to bring together recipients of the Right Livelihood Award and likeminded resource persons, with individuals from various backgrounds and different experiences to share informative and inspiring intellectual dialogues, leading towards future activism based on sustainability and deepening right livelihood. The program will offer the unique opportunity of being in a multicultural setting where participants will benefit from learning and sharing cross-cultural experiences as well as knowledge that will bring in new ideas and perspectives on their careers, new alliances, and policy initiatives.
